DINING AT THE BORDER
Chef Proprietor Philip Blackburn, with local chefs Lee, Dougie and Jenny, prepare the meals with great emphasis on local produce especially the excellent local game and fish. The local Border lamb is one of our most popular dishes, as is the fresh fish from Eyemouth. The 'Specials Board' changes daily and it provides a fine selection of fresh, mouth watering seasonal dishes, all prepared to order and served by our friendly, local staff. If you wish to dine with us for an evening meal, it is advisable to pre-book as we do get very busy and we always try to ensure that our guests have priority.

PUBLIC BAR AND CONSERVATORY
 

The Public Bar, with its cosy log fire, is open all day and offers a range of bitters and lagers including a selection of real ales. It is a true local bar with character and charm.  Being a Free House means that our selection of real ales changes frequently. The wine list is selected to complement the menu and a fine range of malt whiskies are also held in stock at all times.

We are proud to be listed in the current 'Best Pub Guide' and 'Best Beer Guide' books.

Adjoining the bar area is a spacious conservatory where patrons can relax with a drink or a meal.

A patio and beer garden can be accessed from the conservatory making it a perfect haven of relaxation for those beautiful, balmy summer days and evenings.
